What is the average lifespan of a new roof?

When properly installed, a new roof should last an average of 20 years, depending on the style & roofing material you choose.

How do you know it's time to replace your existing roof?

We always recommend keeping an eye on your roof for damage like curling missing or mossy shingles, sagging roofline, interior water damage, visible leaks, or even storm damage.

How long does it take to complete a roof repair?

The majority of our roofing jobs can be completed in one day. However, we pride ourselves on creating accurate estimates, so you will know how long it will take us to complete the job!

Why are gutters important?

Gutters are essential because they protect the roof and overall structure of a home by redirecting water flow away. Without a gutter system in place, rainwater could build up on your roof, causing severe damage like rot, mold, and interior leaks!

How do I know if I need gutter repair or gutter replacement?

If there are minor fixes like a couple of small holes, a leaking joint, and or a few hangers are loose, you might be able to get away with a gutter repair. However, if you find that your gutters have severe rust, holes, leaks, sagging, or other damage, your best bet would be to replace the whole gutter system to ensure the water is draining away from home effectively.

Do you offer senior or military discounts?

Yes, we offer both! When you contact us for your free estimation, ask about these qualifying discounts and if you apply.

How do solar panel systems work?

Solar panels are designed to harness the power of the sun and convert it into electricity. Solar panels are made up of many small solar cells that are connected together. When the sun shines on the solar panel, the solar cells absorb the sunlight and generate an electric current. The amount of electricity that is generated depends on the size of the solar panel and the strength of the sunlight. Solar panels can be used to power homes, businesses, and even farms.

Do solar panels produce power when the sun isn't shining?

Solar panels are a great way to generate renewable energy, but many people are concerned about what happens when the sun isn’t shining. Solar panels actually produce power even when the sun isn’t out, but the amount of power generated is reduced.

What happens if there is snow on solar panels?

Most solar panels are designed to be installed at an angle, which allows snow to slide off more easily. However, a heavy accumulation of snow can block the sun from reaching the panel and prevent it from generating power.

How long will my solar power system last?

There are various components that go into keeping a well-maintained solar system, but for the most part, solar panels are very durable and can generate electricity for 25-35 years.

What does it cost for a solar panel installation?

The cost of installing solar panels depends on several factors: the size of the system, how much it will need to power, and local regulations. To get a more specific quote for your particular situation, contact us today!

What is a solar tax credit?

A tax credit is an amount of money a taxpayer can subtract from the total amount of taxes they owe. For example, if a taxpayer owes $1,000 in taxes and has a $200 tax credit, they would only owe $800. Tax credits can be earned for a variety of reasons, such as completing an energy-saving home improvement or being a low-income earner. Some tax credits are even refundable, which means that the taxpayer would receive a refund if the credit exceeds the amount of taxes owed. Tax credits are generally considered to be more beneficial than tax deductions because they reduce the amount of taxes owed dollar-for-dollar.

What is the federal solar tax credit?

A federal solar tax credit is a tax credit that can be claimed on one federal income tax for a percentage of the cost it took to install the PV system.

Solar PV systems that were installed in 2020-2021 are eligible for a 26% tax credit and as of August 2022, Congress passed an extension of the ITC, raising the tax credit to 30% when installation is performed between 2022-2032. Once the year 2033 hits, the tax credit will decrease to 26%, and in 2034 even further down to 22%. The tax credit is predicted to expire starting 2035 until further notice from congress.
